He did his medical training and otolaryngology residency in Hacettepe University Medical Faculty in Ankara. In 1996 He became associate professor, and in 2003 professor in the same department. He was a research scholar in House Ear Institute, Los Angeles California where he did a temporal bone study on middle fossa approach (1997).
For the last 18 years, he has been doing only otology and neurotology. His main academic interest is inner ear malformations. He was involved in the classification and surgery of inner ear malformations. He has recently updated his classification system of inner ear malformations (2009 and 2013). He developed an electrode for malformations. As Hacettepe Implant Team they performed over 1850 implants until 2015. They also started auditory brainstem implantation in prelingually deafened children in 2006. So far they performed over 60 ABI in children.
He has more than 70 papers in the English literature.
He was the pastpresident of the Otology and Neurotology Society in Turkey. He was the chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology in Hacettepe University between 2006-2011. During this time Audiology Undergraduate Program was set up in Hacettepe University.

Professor Dan Jiang PhD FRCSI (Otol) FRCS(ORL-HNS) is a consultant otolaryngologist, skull base surgeon and lead clinician of St Thomas' hearing implant centre. Dan is professor of otology and auditory implantation surgery at King’s College London. He trained in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' and other major hospitals in south east England.
He completed a senior skull base and neuro-otological surgery fellowship in Cambridge and has a PhD in auditory physiology and pathology. His interests include auditory implant research and regeneration of damaged inner ear structures.

Professor Heinz Stammberger, M.D., Hon. FRCS (Ed.), Hon. FRCS (Engl.), Hon. FACS, is Emeritus Professor and Head of the Department of General ORL, H&NS of the Medical University at Graz/Austria. It was here where in the late 1960s and 70s his teacher, Prof. Walter Messerklinger, started what would become a revolution in diagnosis and treatment of nasal and sinuses diseases: Rigid endoscopy, FESS being the best known off-spring of this development. Prof. Stammberger today, is considered one of the world’s leading experts in the field of endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery. He has helped through numerous publications, books as well as lectures and teaching courses on all continents, to spread the knowledge and expertise and push the surgical frontiers.In the late 1990s, he and his ENT-team have started close co-operation with their neurosurgical partners, establishing the „Interdisciplinary Skull Base Unit“ of the Medical University Graz. Their transnasal concept of “Endoscopic Rhino-NeuroSurgery” has made the Graz Skull Base Group a leader in the field and a national and international excellence and referral centre.

Dr. Samer Fakhri is a clinical professor at the University of Texas medical school at Houston and holds leadership positions in healthcare institutions and specialty societies nationally and internationally.
Dr. Javer completed his undergraduate education at Simon Fraser University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology achieving 1st class honors. Dr. Javer proceeded to UBC where he earned his medical degree, graduating in 1991. After a one-year internship at the University of Saskatchewan at the Regina General Hospital, Dr. Javer returned to Vancouver and UBC to continue his studies. Dr. Javer completed an additional four-year otolaryngology (one year research) and one year core general surgery training, earning his specialist credentials. In 1998, Dr. Javer proceeded to complete a two-year fellowship at the Georgia Nasal and Sinus Institute in Savannah, Georgia, specializing in Advanced Rhinology and Sinus/Skull Base Surgery under the directorship of Dr. Frederick A Kuhn.
Dr. Javer has varied research interests with over 90 research publications and over 10 book chapters. Dr. Javer has a special interest in advanced FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery), frontal sinus surgery and fungal sinus disease. Dr. Javer has been awarded several awards and honors in research and in surgical teaching during his career at UBC. He started the sinus fellowship-training program at the St. Paul’s Sinus Centre in 2001, which has graduated 15 subspecialized surgeons from seven different countries. He has presented internationally and is fluent in five languages. He is currently a full clinical professor in the department of surgery at the University of British Columbia, the fellowship training director at UBC, co-director of research in the division of Otolaryngology at UBC, and director of the St. Paul’s Sinus Centre.

A/Prof Siow’s subspecialty interest is in rhinology, image guidance in sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery.
He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in July 1989 and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in May 1993.He was granted acceptance of Doctorate of Medicine Thesis (A Study of Asian Paranasal Sinus Anatomy Using Tri-Planar Projections on Computed Tomograph Scans) by the Dean and the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in June 2006.
He has been teaching faculty for endoscopic sinus surgery courses conducted at the University of Marburg, Germany, the University of Nairobi Kenya, Sun Yat Sun University Guangzhou China, University of Texas Medical School at Houston, the International Islamic University Malaysia, the Hirslandaen Clinic, Zurich, the Veteran’s General Hospital, Taipei, University of Indonesia, Ciptomangunkusomo Hospital, Jakarta University of North Sumatra, Medan, Diponegoro University Semarang, Indonesia , Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital, Singapore. Professor Hassab is the Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Alexandria Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in 1981 and completed an ENT Residency in 1985 at the same medical school. He served as a Rhinology Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the period from 1989 till 1991. He was awarded a Rhinology Fellowship at the University College of London in 1992. He has special interest in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery with more than 40 publications in both national, international periodicals and books in the domain of sinonasal surgery. He is on the editorial board of several international journals including Clinical Otolaryngology and International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology. He served as an Invited Speaker and Guest Faculty for numerous international conferences and courses in the field of sinonasal endsocopic surgery.
